"I am not what happened to me,
I am what I choose to become."
- Carl Gustav Jung
Hi, I'm Tommy. Soon after I completed certification from the Oxford Mindfulness Centre to teach MBCT-L in 2020 I discovered that the domain www.mbct.life was available and registered it on a whim after asking whether the OMC would mind me doing so. It's mostly best to promote oneself as a teacher or have some kind of mindfulness brand rather than the course itself, but I really love teaching this particular course. Having initially used it to promote some of my own eight week courses I'm now using the site to promote and be a resource for anyone teaching or participating in a Mindfulness for Life / Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for Life / MBCT-L course.
It's not recommended that you use the website as a standalone resource like Palouse Mindfulness, instead it's offered as a resource for anyone teaching or participating on an eight week MBCT-L course whether that's with me or someone else. If you're a teacher of MBCT-L and you have some suggestions or would like to discuss some personalised resources for one of your groups I'd be happy to hear from you. I can also create you a mindfulness website if you're interested in that.
I offer the resources of this site freely and don't stand to make any money from the website itself which costs about £45 a year in hosting fees. If you want to make a donation to enable its continued existence you can buy me a coffee or consider donating to the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation.
If you're interested in me, my main website is www.tommycarr.uk and my professional profile is at www.linkedin.com/in/tommy-carr.
